  1. UPDATE: JEFF GAVE ME PERMISSION TO POST THIS:

So caught off guard this time. I didn’t see it coming. In spite of pain and illness, Pete’s passion for life continued

right up to the end. He was busy working for the causes he cared about via twitter.

Yesterday, I came home from work and thought he was sleeping. He was covered and peaceful looking. But of course he was dead.

We just moved into a new apartment. We both were looking forward to the change and peace and quiet. His insurance stopped covering some of his meds. He was having trouble adjusting.

It was not a good feeling when the police told me that they needed to talk to the next of kin and that it wasn’t me.

The cause of death: AIDS He wouldn’t call it anything other than that.

He appeared to be peaceful on the last day.

He would tell you that he had a wonderful life. He would say that he was loved and that he loved. But he would say that he died a horrible death.

AIDS is now a manageable disease.

It has now managed to kill Pete Jimenez!

Honestly, I don’t know how I can be without him.

But, I am going to work on it.

    Thanks so much, Jeff
