BHS Prevention would like to invite you to our upcoming marijuana education and awareness event, Truths & Trends About Youth & Marijuana, on Wednesday, February 3rd, 2016 from 6:00-8:00PM at the Nakaoka Center (1670 W. 162nd Street, Gardena 90247).
BHS is coordinating this event in partnership with South Bay Communities Creating Change (SBC3), which is a coalition comprised of alcohol and drug prevention nonprofit organizations in the South Bay committed to reducing underage drinking and substance abuse. The purpose of the marijuana awareness event is to educate the community about the trends in marijuana use, discuss the impact and consequences of marijuana use on teens and the community, clear up any misconceptions about marijuana, provide tips for communicating with youth and ways to stay informed. Substance abuse touches so many people in our community and the marijuana awareness event is a great way to help educate others in ways to reduce youth access to marijuana.
Please feel free to contact me if you want any additional information.
We hope to see you there,
South Bay Prevention Coordinator
