The Commission on HIV has conducted listening sessions throughout Los Angeles County to target specific communities to assess the needs, gaps and barriers associated with HIV care and prevention services in Los Angeles County. This information will serve to assist in the development of our federally-mandated Comprehensive HIV Plan (CHP)*.
We have now confirmed logistics for the last session which will focus on: Service Planning Area (SPA) 1.
We are inviting consumers (HIV+ and high risk HIV-) from SPA 1 to participate. As reflected in the attached event flyer, the session is scheduled for
Monday, May 2, 2016 at 12:30-2:00pm. The session will be held at Tarzana Treatment Center located at 907 West Lancaster Blvd, Lancaster, CA 93534.
Lunch, $25 gift card, and child watch** will be available to those who participate. The session is strictly confidential.
Please note the RSVP deadline is April 27, 2016. However, to ensure a safe and effective process, we will cap the number of listening session participants at 15.
A “Meet and Greet” reception will be held immediately follow the listening session to provide information about and an overview of the Commission on HIV, discuss HIV services/resources and its impact, strategize outreach efforts, and conduct membership recruitment for the Commission. We welcome all from the SPA 1 community to attend.
