The LA County HIV Drug and Alcohol Task Force (HIV DATF) would like to invite you to participate in our 2016 Network & Nosh event.
For many years, Network & Nosh event has been extremely popular and well-attended. We attempt to connect activists, organizers and service providers who work in various disciplines (SUD, mental health, HIV, incarceration/re-entry, community planning, social justice, education, and housing to name a few) with one another to learn about what services are available to our clients and to the community. Everyone who wants to has an opportunity to speak at the podium for a few minutes (usually 3-5 minutes) and then people network – so bring your business cards and brochures. We also have a resource fair set up, so if you have agency/program/event literature you wish to share, reserve a table – or part of one.
And we chat, eat, interact… it’s a great event – the more participation we have, the better the event is. Check out our website for information, resources and videos from last year’s event: https://hivdatf.org/trainings/past/network-nosh-6/.
Snce it has become so popular, this year we will host a full-day Network & Nosh in SPA 2, and another in SPA 8. For the second time, we will offer a CEU training at each event. On December 8th we will host our event at Behavioral Health Services, Inc. (15519 Crenshaw Blvd., Gardena, CA 90249) and on December 16th we will be at Cri Help, Inc. (11027 Burbank Blvd., North Hollywood, CA 91601). At both events, registration at 8:00am. Network & Nosh is from 9:00am – 12:00. A networking lunch follows, from 12:00pm – 1:00pm and a CEU training will close out the day from 1:00am to 3:00pm
If you have a program you are trying to get the word out about, or services at your agency you want to share; if you are part of a network, a group, a task force, a collaborative, or any other entity that would be beneficial for folks to know about, please join us! If your services have changed as a result of healthcare reform (or any other reason), we especially want you at Network & Nosh. The scope of services have changed for so many well-known agencies that people still don’t know how to make referrals, or how to tell their clients about them.
